How we work

Every article adds something

Every article ends with “Our take”: a comparison, a weighing-up or a clear recommendation. If we have nothing to add, we do not publish.

A named person approves every article

Each article is checked and approved by a named editor before it goes live. The editor takes responsibility for its content.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to research sources and to prepare drafts. They never publish anything. Facts are checked against the original source, and every article is edited and approved by a person.

Sources

Every statement about regulations links to the law, the regulation or the authority. Product data comes from the manufacturers, and the text says so.

Images

We use our own photos, licensed stock photos or press images that manufacturers release for editorial use. Every image carries a credit; for stock photos, the licence is linked under the article. Where no suitable photo exists, we use an AI-generated illustration. It is always labelled as such directly under the image and never shows a real boat, person or product.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the date of the update at the top of the article. Write to contact@voltnautic.com.

Conflict of interest

This site is published by Lakeberg GmbH, Berlin, which trades as E-SURFER and sells electric watersports equipment, including some products we write about. That never decides what we compare or how we rate it.
