For an inflatable or tender, 0.5 to 1.5 kW is enough. The lightest option is the TEMO·450 at 5.1 kg including battery, but with only about an hour of running time. The RemigoOne Go lasts longer with 1 kW, 1.5 kW boost and a 1.15 kWh battery, but weighs 13 kg and costs €2,200 excluding VAT. All of these motors are far below any licence threshold in Europe.

Which models are there?

ModelPower (manufacturer)BatteryWeightPrice
TEMO·4500.45 kW, “1.5 hp”0.29 kWh, built in5.1 kg total€1,590 in the TEMO shop (TEMO)
TEMO T7000.7 kW, “2.5 hp”0.594 kWh, swappable10 kg (motor 7 + battery 3)€1,390 in the TEMO shop, pre-order, delivery from April 2027 (TEMO)
TEMO·10001.1 kW, “3 hp”0.949 kWh, swappable17 kg (motor 10 + battery 7)€2,900 in the TEMO shop (TEMO)
RemigoOne Go1.0 kW, boost 1.5 kW, “3 / 4 hp”1.154 kWh, built in13 kg, 15.5 kg with mount€2,200 excluding VAT (Remigo, data sheet)

The TEMO shop shows its prices without saying whether VAT is included, and when we checked it was set to the “St. Barthélemy” market. Ask for the final price in your country before you buy. Remigo's earlier Neo and One are no longer in its 2026 price list (Remigo price list).

For comparison, from our electric outboard comparison: the Torqeedo Travel XS with 0.7 kW and 0.648 kWh, 18.4 kg total, €1,997 including German VAT (Torqeedo), and the ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus with 1 kW and 1.276 kWh, 10.6 kg plus an 8.7 kg battery (ePropulsion).

How far and how long can I go?

  • TEMO·450: up to 1 hour 20 minutes according to the product page; the user guide says about 40 minutes at full throttle and 60 minutes in normal use. Top speed around 3 knots (TEMO, user guide).
  • TEMO T700: up to 1 hour (TEMO).
  • TEMO·1000: up to 4 hours, though elsewhere on the same page “50 minutes or more” (TEMO).
  • RemigoOne Go: up to 32 nautical miles (about 59 km) at 2 knots, 15 nm at 3 knots, 5.3 nm at 5 knots, measured with a 3 m inflatable and 2 people (Remigo).

Swapping the battery, charging, carrying

This is where the concepts differ most:

Swap the batteryno, only via TEMO serviceyes, cable-free cassette batteryno, only via Remigo service (spare battery €800 excl. VAT)

A swappable battery has two advantages: you can carry a second one, and the motor comes apart into two lighter pieces. A built-in battery, on the other hand, has no plug connection at all.

Warranty and dealers

  • Warranty: TEMO gives 3 years on the motor if you register it, not for commercial use (TEMO). Remigo gives a 2-year manufacturer's warranty (Remigo).
  • Dealers: Remigo has dealers in the UK, Germany and Austria, but none in Switzerland (Remigo). TEMO's dealer map only loads with cookie consent and could not be read.

Do I need a licence?

No. In the UK there is no licence requirement for private pleasure craft at all (RYA). On the Continent, all of these motors at 0.45 to 1.5 kW are far below the limits of 7.5 kW in Germany and 4.4 kW on Lake Constance and in Austria. Depending on the water, you may still need a licence or registration for the boat itself. More in electric boat without a licence and electric boat registration and licensing.
